Special XII: Dreadful Date

It was a beautiful morning at Kitt’s
house. Kitt woke up and yawned. She sighed, “Yawn! That was a good sleep!” She
hopped out of bed to take a shower, but when she got to the door, she heard a
voice. Kitt giggled when she suddenly realised it was Zach. She had almost
forgotten that Zach was staying over at her house for 2 weeks and soon they
would be going to his house.
In the Kitchen, Kitt’s mother made a big breakfast for them. “For the two
champion of the Moon Tournament!” She said as she laid the breakfast on the
table for them.
“Thank you very much for letting me stayed here!” Zach said to Kitt’s Mother.
“Oh you’re welcome dear. It’s just nice for Kitt to have a friend over.” Kitt’s mother said as they sat down for breakfast, “So what are you two planning to do today?”
“I was thinking of showing Zach around our town tonight.” Kitt said, “And maybe go out somewhere!”
“That’s nice dear, but don’t get into any trouble around there!” Kitt’s mother said.
“We won’t!” Kitt said with a smile as
she turned to Zach who was eating his breakfast.
Later when Zach was taking a nap, Kitt’s mother and Kitt talked to each other when doing the dishes. “So going on a date I see!” Kitt’s mother said.
“Yeah! Going out with Zach! He is very nice when you get to know him!” Kitt said.
“Well if anything happens tonight, me
and your dad would be right at home!” Kitt’s mother said. “Don’t worry, nothing
can go wrong!” Kitt said.
Night-time came and Kitt was very excited. She couldn’t wait to show Zach around town. She quickly tried to find him around her house. “Where could he be?” She wondered as she rushed into every room. She finally found him sleeping on the couch.
After waking him up, they walked around
town and Kitt showed Zach her favourite places. “See this is the toy shop and
this is the pet store!” Kitt said pointing to different stores. Suddenly Kitt
spotted the Aquarium, “Oh hey, Zach, I should show you the water animals they
have there! Come on!”
When they arrived at the Aquarium, it was closed. “What, but they are always
open at night!” Kitt gasped. She spotted a police guard, “Excuse me sir, but why
is the aquarium closed? “
“Well it’s closed because some crazy
girl opened one of the tanks and let out an alligator. Luckily no one is hurt,
but we had to repair the damage the alligator made.”
Zach and Kitt walked around town again, when Zach’s tummy growled. “I’m hungry,
Kitt! Want to get some food?”
“Sure, that would be good!” Kitt smiled and they walk into a restaurant. After a couple of plates of food, Zach looked at the bill. He suddenly looked at Kitt and then at the bill. “Uh... Kitt! You wouldn’t happen to have any money with you?”
“Why don’t you have any?” Kitt asked looking worried.
“I think I left it at your house!” Zach said.
Kitt slapped him on the head, “Nice
going Bucko!”
After washing 400 dishes, cups, silverware, and after Zach broke some, the two continued around town. “You had to forget your wallet! Great! Are you still hungry so we can wash MORE dishes?” Kitt asked sarcastically.
“Or to BREAK MORE?!” Zach snapped back at her, “Look, first I didn’t I had my wallet, second, I didn’t want to go look around. I think I was better at your house!” Kitt felt crushed at what Zach said.
Here she had planned to spend time with
him and he didn’t want to go out with her. She felt mad and cursed at Zach. Zach
cursed back at her and they both started arguing with each other. Finally Kitt
tore her eyes away from Zach and ran into a forest.
She came to a lake, where she cried her tears. “Stupid Zach! Here I am being
overly nice to him and he doesn’t appreciate me! Some friend he is”
Suddenly she heard foot steps and felt an arm coming around her. “Well young lady, what are you doing around here?” A young man answered. The young man looked like Derak, but had blue hair and had an earring on his left ear.
“Let me go!” Kitt cried and tried to kick the guy, but he grabbed her tightly.
“Seems like something is wrong, but I
bet old Rick can make you feel better!” The young man said as he brought Kitt
closer to him.
Suddenly Rick dropped Kitt and clutched his foot. Kitt saw Zach standing, “Hey,
you don’t mess with my friend, got it?”
Rick glared at him, “Grrr, I’ll teach you never to mess with Rick!” And punched Zach in the face, but Zach quickly whacked his foot tripping Rick. Rick quickly smacked Zach in the head knocking him into the lake.
“Zach!” Kitt cried as the bubbles disappeared from below.
Rick smiled, “Rick has won, and you, my lady, are my prize!” and came towards Kitt.
“Zako Y Chosen!” a voice cried and a blast of fire knocked Rick into a fountain.
Kitt turned around and saw Zach dripping wet, but smiling.
Outside of Kitt’s house, the two looked at each other.
“Um.. Kitt.. I.. want to.. say..” Zach started.
“Zach.. I want to say..” Kitt started.
“I’m sorry for acting like a jerk!” They both said.
Zach looked surprise, “Why? It’s my fault that I said that word, but..”
“No it’s okay!” Kitt said, “I didn’t ask you first and it wasn’t your fault that you lost your wallet!”
“I’m sorry I ruined your day!” Zach said.
“No you didn’t! It was fun! Well a bit! And you saved me from that lover boy back there! It was fun!” Kitt said.
“Yeah I guess so! I guess so! Next time though, if we go out again, I’ll remember to take along my wallet!” Zach laughed and Kitt did too.
“Well good night!” Zach said and hugged Kitt.
Kitt hugged Zach as she looked at the night sky and saw a shooting star passed her. “It’s not a bad day after all!” She sighed as she could make out of the stars a Zach laughing happily in the night sky.
